The Public Working in Partnership with Bedfordshire Police for 40 years
Creating Safer Communities Together
Bedfordshire Street Watch gives you and your community an opportunity to keep your area safe by walking around your neighbourhood and encouraging people to report things, like antisocial behaviour, vandalism and suspicious behaviour, to us, which can really help.
As a Street Watch member, you'll patrol your local area alongside one of your neighbours for at least two hours every month, at times which suit you.
You'll talk to people you meet and encourage them to take an active interest in keeping your area safe. So your neighbours know what you're there for, you wear a high-visibility Street Watch jacket.
You'll be supported by:
the local Street Watch coordinator
your local police
- provide an induction and training, as well as an attack alarm, torch and notebook.
